About Yap Yoon Jan

JAN did not choose to do law for any particular reason. At first, he simply followed the footsteps of his sister, who is the founder of the firm. But now, after years of fulfilment and joy from being a lawyer, JAN will say unhesitatingly that he has no regret. Every legal battle is a rollercoaster ride. Unlike most other professions, winning and losing is part and parcel of the disputes practice, and JAN enjoys the process of striving to win every single case he handles.

Clients usually engage JAN for his fearlessness, and fast, practical solutions. Having been a business owner himself in the food and beverage industry, JAN naturally places commercial concerns and aspects on the forefront in problem-solving, on a solid foundation of legal knowledge and a barrage of legal experience, a foresight most clients appreciate as an added advantage over mere academic legal advice.

Able to communicate in English, Malay, Mandarin, Cantonese and Hokkien, JAN prefers speaking the lingo of his clients in order to ensure that all needs and wants are clearly communicated, and worries adequately addressed.

He has myriad of experience in civil litigation. One of his key area of practice involves meter tampering matters.
